DOT: Long-term closures scheduled at I-94 and Waukesha County F Interchange

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Beginning the week of August 15, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is scheduled to begin long-term closures at County F and I-94, in Waukesha County.

The rehabilitation work involves bridge repair, outside lane and ramp terminal pavement replacement and roadway improvements. The safest way to conduct these operations is with the following closures.

This interchange rehabilitation work will be divided into two stages.

Stage 1 (Beginning week of Aug. 15)

Stage 2 (Beginning late September to early October)

With an adjacent project on US 18 (Moreland Road) also impacting access to downtown Waukesha, WisDOT advises motorists to detour to the WIS 164 Interchange, directly to the west of the County F Interchange. Traffic exiting the freeway onto WIS 164 should proceed north to connect with WIS 190 (Capitol Drive). Turn east onto WIS 190 and proceed to access County F.

This operation is part of the ongoing rehabilitation project of 14 bridges on I-94 from County P to County F, in Waukesha County. More information about the project can be found at http://projects.511wi.gov/94bridg/.
