Police: Three arrested following police pursuit on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Three suspects have been arrested by Milwaukee police after leading officers on a pursuit on the city’s north side.

The incident began around 1:05 p.m. on August 8th in the are of Vienna Avenue and Humboldt Blvd. when police were dispatched to an armed robbery complaint.

The victim, a 50-year-old Milwaukee man, told officers that a male suspect broke into his home, pointed a gun at him, and demanded several electronics.

The suspect fled in a Chevrolet Cavalier that picked him up at the scene.

The vehicle was spotted a short time later near N. Richards Street and E. Auer Avenue, where officers attempted to stop it. The Cavalier continued to flee and officers began a pursuit.

During the pursuit, the Cavalier sideswiped a Milwaukee County Transit System bus and a MPD squad car. No one inside the bus or squad was injured.

Four suspects fled from the scene near N. Holton Street and W. Center Street and three were taken into custody. Those arrested included an 18-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old man.

MPD is currently seeking the fourth suspect, a 26-year-old man, who is believed to have committed the original crime.

MPD will present the case against the arrested suspects to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
