“We’re excited:" Frontier Airlines adds non-stop seasonal flights from Milwaukee to Phoenix

MILWAUKEE -- Frontier Airlines will launch new seasonal non-stop service from Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport beginning December 7, 2016.

“Frontier’s new service to Phoenix gives travelers from Wisconsin and northern Illinois another option for their leisure and business travel needs to Arizona,” County Executive Chris Abele said.  “Frontier’s growing network from MKE is welcome news, and we encourage our travelers to take advantage of the great low fares and non-stop service Frontier provides.”

According to a press release, introductory sale fares on the route start at $69, and are only available online at www.flyfrontier.com.  The new service will be operated with full-size Airbus A319 aircraft, featuring both standard and stretch seating.

The new flights, which will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, will depart Milwaukee at 12:35 p.m. and arrive in Phoenix at 3:40 p.m.  The return flights will leave Phoenix at 7:20 a.m. and arrive in Milwaukee at 11:42 a.m.

“Milwaukee travelers will have another great option when looking for warm weather getaways during the cold weather months” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president – commercial. “We’re excited to offer travelers non-stop service to this great vacation spot.”

Frontier already offers daily nonstops from Milwaukee to Atlanta, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Orlando and Philadelphia.
