UWM-MPS teacher program receives $2.4 million grant

MILWAUKEE -- The National Science Foundation has awarded a $2.4 million grant to UW-Milwaukee and Milwaukee Public Schools.

The money will be used to improve math and science programs in Milwaukee's public high schools.

Twenty-five MPS teachers will be trained in personalized professional development and classroom-based research.

Those teachers will then work with UWM faculty and MPS district leaders to analyze their classroom practices and lead development workshops for other teachers across the state.
