"We have come full circle:" Jobs fair set for Tuesday in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- YWCA Southeast Wisconsin will host a job and information session on Tuesday, August 30th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at 1915 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr.

The event –- hosted by Pete’s Fruit Market, Vangard Group, JCP Construction, and Athena Communications -– is expected to provide important information about carpenter apprentice, carpenter helper, laborer apprentice and other skilled construction trades positions.

Milwaukee Alderwoman Milele Coggs said in a news release that neighbors made it clear during the past few years that the location should house a grocery store, and those wishes were honored.

"And now we have the opportunity for people in the neighborhood to be a part of building this new Pete’s Fruit Market grocery store," Coggs said. "We have come full circle in a positive way for the betterment of Bronzeville and the community."

Interested residents should make plans to attend on Tuesday.
