MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a crash involving a stolen vehicle which happened near 76th and Mill Road Sunday morning, August 28th.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. and involved three vehicles.

Police say a 2016 Ford Focus traveling at a high rate of speed blew through a red light at 76th Street and collided with an SUV. The SUV then veered into a car.

According to police, the Ford Focus was reported stolen out of Waukesha on August 16th.

An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man who were in the Ford Focus suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. A third man in the Focus fled the scene prior to the arrival of first responders.

The single occupant of the SUV suffered a non-life threatening injury.

The occupant of the Jetta wasn't hurt.

Police say the 18-year-old who was driving the FocusĀ has an arrest history for auto theft and armed robbery.

Police were seeking the 19-year-old passenger for questioning in connection with another armed robbery.

Both men are in custody.

The intersection was closed for several hours after this crash.

Odds are it was caused by one of our locals racing to nowhere blowing through the red lights. I drive this area often. it is simply scary!!

The mayor is ok with this? Repeat offenders cut loose to do more harm? Come on Tom, you have to do better.

Here we go again. Catch release repeat. Happily innocent people were not killed. Prison time. please. Long long long time.

I’m guessing that 3rd person who ran from the stolen vehicle was going to get help…you would have thought by now he would have found some help and returned. Three losers. And Brittany, thank God these 3 lowlifes didn’t kill the poor innocent people that they struck. I would rather see these disgusting criminals gone, because there’s no doubt they’ve done this before and with Chisholm as D.A. will have the opportunity to do it again.

This city is an embarrassment!! How can a 18 year old with a history of armed robbery and auto theft be out and about?? I kind of thought that the courts & police were about to serve & protect? At least $60,000 in damage from this! lock the rats up until all is paid. As I have said before, take all of the charges against the 2 in custody and add to that what the 3rd. guy would have received and split that between the 2 thugs that we have. somehow these thugs must be taken off of the streets!!

Thank god only the thugs were seriously injured so no real big loss. Will their thug friends riot if they die seeing as the car they were driving was white?

  • Tired of the BS

Give those nice young boys a break. It was 7:30 a.m.. They were on their way to church and didn’t want to be late. I’m sure the one that didn’t get hurt still went to church to pray for his homies.

    • mhhhh

There was a facebook posting with a video showing these good boys (sarcastic) laying injured on the floor with money all over the streets. Who know who that money belongs to either. YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY ARE KIDS AND COMMITTED A MISTAKE ONLY AND WHY ARE PEOPLE SO HEARTLESS. They were sticking up for the thugs and when you call them that name “THUGS” some of the black folks called us racist. What the heck!
