2 men seriously hurt & in custody after crash involving stolen vehicle at 76th and Mill Road



MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a crash involving a stolen vehicle which happened near 76th and Mill Road Sunday morning, August 28th.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. and involved three vehicles.

Police say a 2016 Ford Focus traveling at a high rate of speed blew through a red light at 76th Street and collided with an SUV. The SUV then veered into a car.

According to police, the Ford Focus was reported stolen out of Waukesha on August 16th.

An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man who were in the Ford Focus suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital. A third man in the Focus fled the scene prior to the arrival of first responders.

The single occupant of the SUV suffered a non-life threatening injury.

The occupant of the Jetta wasn't hurt.

Police say the 18-year-old who was driving the Focus has an arrest history for auto theft and armed robbery.

Police were seeking the 19-year-old passenger for questioning in connection with another armed robbery.

Both men are in custody.

The intersection was closed for several hours after this crash.
