Elm Grove police: 3 Milwaukee men federally charged after February robbery at TCF Bank

ELM GROVE -- Elm Grove police have announced three Milwaukee men have been charged in federal court in connection with the February 2016 armed robbery at the TCF Bank in Elm Grove.

The robbery happened on February 2nd at the bank on Bluemound Road near Elm Grove Road in Elm Grove.

Police say 20-year-old Elijah McGee, 21-year-old Robert Crumble Jr. and 20-year-old London Johnson have been charged in federal court with federal armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a crime of violence.

According to police, Johnson drove McGee and Crumble to the bank.

Police say Crumble had a shotgun and McGee had a handgun-revolver. The men pointed the firearms at bank employees, jumped the counter and ordered the bank employees to give them money, police say.

Both eventually fled the bank -- entering the vehicle driven by Johnson.

McGee was taken into custody on February 3rd. The suspect vehicle was also recovered that day.

Crumble was taken into custody a month after the armed robbery.

Johnson was arrested on August 19th.

Police say these three men remain in federal custody.
