Intense rain leads to roadways being flooded, limbs breaking from trees

MILWAUKEE -- Heavy rain in southeast Wisconsin on Wednesday evening, September 7th caused flooding in streets throughout the metro area.

FOX6 Photojournalist Jeff Frings captured the above video near 108th and Rogers in West Allis. Roadways were swamped with water -- and yet, drivers continued to drive through it.

On Milwaukee's south side -- near 37th and Becher -- FOX6's Ben Handelman and his photojournalist stopped driving for a time because of the intensity of the rain. Ben captured the video below. It shows the heavy rain -- and in the background, you can see tree limbs falling to the ground.
