The Milwaukee River Challenge will splash into town again this weekend
MILWAUKEE -- Brian spent the morning previewing the 16th annual Milwaukee River Challenge. The event takes place on Saturday, September 17th and features nearly 1,000 collegiate, high school and club rowers competing on the Milwaukee River. In addition, this year, the event will feature men and women rowers from the Olympic team in Rio.

The 16th Annual Milwaukee River Challenge will splash into town again this Saturday, September 17, 2016 with racing along the Menomonee and Milwaukee Rivers with more than 900 participants. The 3-mile Challenge starts at 25th and Canal Streets on the Menomonee River and proceeds east to the junction with the Milwaukee River, where crews will navigate a 90 degree angle turn as they headed north toward the finish line at Schlitz Park, just below Pleasant Street. Spectators can enjoye the race from more than a dozen bridges that dot the course and offer spectators intimate views of the racing and blade work.
