38-year-old East Troy man killed in motorcycle crash on Pleasant Lake Road in Walworth Co.

WALWORTH COUNTY -- A 38-year-old man from East Troy died Saturday, September 17th following a motorcycle crash in Walworth County.

Crews were called out to Pleasant Lake Road just south of Oakwood Drive in the Town of LaGrange shortly after 9:00 p.m.

When crews arrived on scene, they located a red 1999 Kawasaki motorcycle which had crashed into a tree.  The lone male rider was found lying unresponsive in the ditch a short distance away.

The driver, 38-year-old Walter Kraayvanger Jr., of East Troy was pronounced dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Initial investigation indicates the motorcycle was northbound on Pleasant Lake Road when it left the paved portion of the roadway to the right (east).

The motorcycle re-entered the paved portion of the roadway, and lost control, went off the roadway to the left (west), entered the ditch, and struck multiple trees.

Agencies who responded to this scene include Lauderdale-LaGrange Fire and Rescue and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit continues to investigate and future press releases may be issued if and when warranted.
