Washington County: Woman facing 2nd OWI offense following crash in Town of Barton

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- A 26-year-old woman was hurt following an accident that took place on Glacier Drive in the Town of Barton, in Washington County.

The incident took place early Friday morning, September 30th, at approximately 1:41 a.m.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, when deputies arrived at the scene, they found the operator, a 29-year-old Town of Barton woman, walking around in a confused state with a head wound.

Preliminary investigation suggests the woman was driving northbound on Glacier Drive, and failed to follow a corner -- police say the vehicle left the roadway and struck an old stone foundation to a barn causing severe damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.

The 29-year-old woman was arrested for her second OWI offense and was transported to a local hospital for a legal blood draw. While at the hospital, a CT scan showed the woman had suffered a brain bleed. She was then transferred to Froedtert Hospital by ambulance.
