Disney’s ‘Halloweentown’ actually exists and you’ll definitely want to visit

ST. HELENS, Oregon – The 1998 movie “Halloweentown” is undoubtedly one of the most popular Disney Channel Original movies ever created, and it’s become a classic Halloween film for adults and children young and old.

But did you know that Halloweentown actually exists AND you can go visit and partake in the celebrations? Mind blown.

The movie was filmed in St. Helens, Oregon, which is about 40 miles from Portland and coincidentally also the location of a few “Twilight” scenes.

According to Facebook, they have their own month-long ‘Halloweentown’ festival each year, and the town transforms into a scene straight out of the movie!

Festivities at the celebration include a scarecrow contest, a masquerade ball, haunted tractor rides, séances, and of course, a pumpkin lighting event. This year Marnie from the movie (Kimberly Brown) is even making an appearance.
