Emergency concrete work: DOT to close lane on I-43 at Lexington; on-ramp from Silver Spring Wednesday

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will have crews do emergency concrete work on I-43 southbound at Lexington Avenue Wednesday, October 5th beginning at 3:00 p.m.

The work will be in the right lane on the approach slab to the bridge structure over Lexington.

The work will require the right lane on southbound I-43 to be closed in addition to the on-ramp from Silver Spring to I-43 SB.

The work is expected to last until 6:00 p.m. when the crews are expected to reopen the lane and ramp to traffic.

Crews will remove the loose concrete and replace with asphalt to provide a temporary repair to the roadway.

Delays are expected as this will coincide with the afternoon peck travel times.

Alternate routes should be considered by the traveling public.
