Marquette lands $1M grant to certify MPS teachers to teach computer science

MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University has received a $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation to help MPS teachers get certified.

The program will help nearly 200 teachers receive certification to teach computer science in their classrooms.

The three-year grant will allow computer science instruction to be provided at each MPS school.

Specifically -- 75 elementary school teachers, 54 middle school and 45 high school teachers will be certified through the grant.
