Justin Florek scored the Admirals lone goal as they dropped a 4-1 decision to the Rockford IceHogs in their lone home pre-season game Friday night at the Kern Center on the campus of MSOE.

The Hogs jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead within the first two minutes of the game. PC Labrie lit the lamp just 27 seconds after puck drop and 1:03 later Bryn Chyzyk made it a two-goal IceHogs lead.

Sam Carrick gave the Hogs a 3-0 with power-play tally at 6:19 of the second after he beat Milwaukee goalie Juuse Saros with a slapper from the right side.

The newly signed Florek got the Admirals on the board in the third period with a shorthanded goal at the 7:59 mark. Florek and Anthony Richard came into the Hogs zone 2-on-1 with Richard setting up Florek for a wrister that found the back of the net.

The Admirals will finish off the pre-season Saturday night when they travel to Chicago to take on the Wolves.
