HALES CORNERS — It’s not something you see everyday. Hundreds of people turning out to tug a tavern!

The building housing the Bosch Tavern has been at Highway 100 and Janesville Road in Hales Corners for more than 100 years.

So what happens when the Department of Transportation (DOT) wants to widen the road? The building’s owners decided to move it.

Saturday morning, October 8th, hundreds of people helped to tug the tavern about 25 feet.

As a thank you, they all got a free pork sandwich.
