MILWAUKEE -- With Donald Trump returning to Wisconsin on Monday, October 17th, the Republican presidential nominee now views the election as a conspiracy against him.

A lot has changed since Trump's last visit to Wisconsin. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke is spread the blame around.

On Twitter Saturday, Clarke said: "It's incredible that our institutions of government, White House, Congress, DOJ and big media are corrupt. Pitchforks and torches time."

Clarke following up, "Just heard from a friend that there has been a run on pitchforks and tiki lamp oil at Home Depot!"

Clarke later tweeted that reporters were "having a hernia" over his comments.

Through a spokeswoman, Clarke declined to discuss this with FOX6 News -- except to point us to a blog post that Clarke says will go online on Monday.

Trump had a scattershot collection of tweets on Sunday. He said, "The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing crooked Hillary, but also at many polling places - sad."

Trump blasted Paul Ryan, who now refuses to defend Trump, as a man who "doesn't know how to win."

Yet, Trump's running mate, Mike Pence, downplayed talk of contesting the election if he and Trump lose.

"We will absolutely accept the results of the election. Look, the American people will speak in an election that will culminate on November the 8th. But the American people are tired of the obvious bias in the national media. That's where this sense of a rigged election goes here," Pence said.

Late last week, a spokesman for Ryan, Gov. Walker and Sen. Ron Johnson said they would not attend Trump's event in Green Bay, citing prior commitments.

The Trump campaign has scrapped plans to hold a rally in West Allis on Monday.

I have had a taste of the hate out there. The signs have been taken and others smashed into the ground. Threats yelled at my house from cars going by, notes and garbage put in my mailbox. My neighbors next to me are afraid to put Trump signs in their yard. He has small children. Yes this is quite a campaign. HILLARY FOR JAIL, but she is above the law.

The media is biased. Biased against unqualified and irrational candidates like Trump. Conservatives can only blame themselves for picking Trump as their candidate. You reap what you sow.

She was a U.S. Senator for 8 years and Secretary of State for 4. She is vastly more qualified than Trump to be President on those grounds.

If the Republican nominee was someone with similar credentials, I’d say they were qualified.

Hillary only knows how give favors for money. That makes her qualified? WOW!
Four died and she lied. Too bad it wasn’t part of your family.
