Woman shot, man struck with pistol on Milwaukee’s south side

MILWAUKEE — A fight in a residence on Milwaukee’s south side led to two people being hospitalized late Saturday, October 15th.

Police were dispatched to the neighborhood on Plainfield Ave. just south of Waterford Ave. shortly after 11:00 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Officials say during an altercation inside of a residence, a 48-year-old woman was shot and her 51-year-old husband was struck in the head with a pistol.

Both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and are being treated at a hospital.

The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
