3 men, 1 a bar owner, killed in shootings within 2-hour period -- in broad daylight



MILWAUKEE -- Investigations are underway after THREE homicides which happened in broad daylight on Milwaukee's north side on Monday afternoon, October 24th.

Milwaukee police say around 1:20 p.m., a man was discovered shot inside a bar called Mike's Place near 35th and Silver Spring.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified for FOX6 News as Mike Patton by family.

FOX6 News has been told by an employee of the bar and other witnesses that the man who was killed was the owner of the bar -- a man who was "very well-liked." We're told this bar is popular in the neighborhood.

Twenty minutes later -- police were on scene near 24th and Auer.

There, police say a 46-year-old man was shot during an altercation with a male suspect.

Despite life-saving efforts by Milwaukee police and MFD officials, the victim, identified as Derrick Ball, died at the scene.

MPD is seeking a known male suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

Milwaukee police say a suspect IS in custody in connection with a homicide that happened around 3:00 p.m.

Police say a 23-year-old Milwaukee man was shot by a 22-year-old Milwaukee man during circumstances that remain unclear.  The victim was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries. He has been identified as Quamari Carr.

The suspect was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
