"Help is on the way!" Ricky 'Wild Thing' Vaughn will be in Cleveland for Game 7!

By the end of Wednesday night's World Series Game 7 between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians, one curse will be broken. For the other, the misery will remain.

"Wild Thing" wasn’t going to miss a Game 7 for the ages!

According to WGN, actor Charlie Sheen, who played Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn in “Major League,” the iconic film about a sad-sack Cleveland Indians team finally earning postseason success, will be at the climactic game between the Indians and Chicago Cubs Wednesday night, November 2nd.

The Indians confirmed Sheen will be in attendance.

With a push from fans on social media, Sheen had campaigned to throw out one of the ceremonial pitches before one of the four games in Cleveland. However, the Indians and Major League Baseball chose to go with former players to handle the duties.

According to TMZ, Sheen had an invitation to get on the mound for Game 7 -- but a fan told TMZ MLB rejected his request to bring Sheen on the field.

Daniel Eleff told TMZ he won a Starwood Hotels contest and got two tickets to Game 7. He will also throw out the first pitch. Eleff said he wanted to use the "Get me Vaughn" from "Major League," and have Sheen run out onto the field.

Eleff said when MLB got wind of that -- his plans quickly changed.

Sheen’s character in the film is a glasses-wearing, hard-throwing, hard-living right-hander who doesn’t always find the strike zone. But once the fictional Indians figure out his eye problems he helps lead them to success.
