MILWAUKEE -- Corporal Todd Nicely, USMC, refuses to take life lying down. Even after he lost most of all four limbs in an encounter with a land mine in Afghanistan in 2010. Nicely is one of only five veterans to survive the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as a quadruple amputee. Homeland Diaries explores Nicely’s difficult daily struggles, his failed suicide attempt and his determination to persevere and live life with purpose.
