Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins go primetime for Sunday game

WASHINGTON -- The Green Bay Packers travel to our nation's capital for a matchup with the Washington Redskins on Sunday night, November 20th. It is Green Bay's second game of a three-game road trip.

According to Packers.com, the Packers hold a 20-14-1 advantage in the overall series with Washington, including a 2-1 record in the playoffs. Including the postseason, Green Bay has won six of the last seven games against Washington, outscoring the Redskins by 107 points in those contests. Five of the Packers’ six victories over Washington during that time were decided by 14-plus points.

Green Bay last faced the Redskins in last January’s Wild Card playoff game in Washington, a 35-18 Packers victory.

The upcoming game will be the first time Green Bay and Washington will play against each other on Sunday Night Football, but is the fourth time they have faced off in primetime. The previous three contests were on Monday Night Football with the Packers winning both games in Green Bay (1983 and 2001) and the Redskins winning the game in Washington (1977).
