Sold: Former Amici's building in Richfield one step closer to becoming Sobelman's Pub & Grill!

RICHFIELD -- It's official! The popular Sobelman's Pub & Grill is coming to Richfield!

Sobelman's officials said Tuesday, November 22nd Al and Nancy Hochmuth closed on the former Amici's building -- meaning the new Sobelman's in Richfield is one step closer to reality.

According to Sobelman's officials, the Hochmuth's anticipate opening the restaurant soon after the first of the year.

When it opens, it will be the fourth Sobelman's in the Milwaukee area and the first franchised location for the chain.

In September, we learned a Sobelman's franchise is coming to downtown Waukesha.

According to a post on the Sobelman's Pub & Grill's Facebook page, Jimmy and Alison Dakolias on September 20th signed paperwork to become the owners of the second Sobelman's franchise. Sobelman's Pub & Grill - Richfield will be the first.

The Dakolias currently own Bosco's Social Club and Spurs Saloon in downtown Waukesha.

The Spurs location on Williams Street will become the new Sobelman's Pub & Grill - Waukesha.

Sobelman's officials said this in the Facebook post:

To Sobelman's fans who have expressed concern that our brand may be getting too big or chain-like, we promise this: never will your Sobelman's experience feel like a trip to a "chain" restaurant—we’re working diligently to identify franchisees who truly value their community and believe in keeping with the Sobelman's tradition and atmosphere our customers have come to expect since 1999!

Sobelman's officials say they are exploring options to bring Sobelman's Pub & Grill to cities like Oconomowoc, Kenosha, Sheboygan, Lake Geneva, Appleton and points in between.

There are currently three Sobelman's locations:

There was a Sobelman's planned for West Bend, but those plans were nixed, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
