West Allis, West Milwaukee officers take 2 into custody, recover 2 guns after stolen vehicle fled traffic stop

WEST ALLIS -- Officials with the West Allis Police Department are praising the good work of officers from West Allis and West Milwaukee in apprehending two people from Milwaukee after a vehicle fled a traffic stop Tuesday morning, November 22nd.

Police say an officer on routine patrol Tuesday morning spotted a suspicious vehicle near 76th and National and attempted to perform a traffic stop.

However, the vehicle fled, and a short pursuit ensued. That pursuit was terminated by the officer.

Another officer was in position to deploy stop sticks, and they were quickly deployed in the path of the suspect vehicle -- which eventually crashed in West Milwaukee.

Two male suspects then fled on foot.

Officers from West Allis and West Milwaukee took both males from Milwaukee into custody.

Police were able to determine the suspect vehicle had been reported stolen, and two firearms were located inside -- one which had been reported stolen.

Police say heroin, cocaine, prescription drugs and evidence of drug dealing were also located.
