Donate nonperishable food items at Stuff the Bus, the state’s largest food drive

MILWAUKEE -- Stuff the Bus is in its 19th year, collecting food for families in need in southeast Wisconsin. You can help out all day today by dropping off non-perishable items at the Pick 'n Save in Brookfield. That's where Carl spent the morning.

About Stuff the Bus (website)

Join Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin & 99.1 The Mix at Stuff the Bus, the state’s largest food drive. You will find us at the Brookfield South Pick ‘n Save location at 15170 W. Greenfield Ave, near the intersection of Moorland Road and Greenfield Avenue. The 19th annual one-day food drive kicks off at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, and will conclude at 6 p.m.

Wes and Elizabeth from 99.1 The Mix will broadcast live and encourage listeners to donate nonperishable food items including canned meat, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup and chili, peanut butter, pasta, rice, macaroni and cheese and frozen turkeys to help fill Milwaukee County Transit System buses with food for hungry families this holiday season.

Our goal this year is 100,000 meals. Monetary donations and frozen turkeys will also be accepted. For a $1 donation, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin can provide three meals to someone in need.

Those who can’t make it out to the store can also make a donation online. Together, we can provide hope to families, children, seniors and individuals facing hunger this Thanksgiving.
