"Praying for a miracle:" His health declining, he hopes to meet Packers, Seahawks Dec. 11th at Lambeau

GREEN BAY -- Josh McCall is running out of time -- but he finds comfort with his mom at his side -- and anything Green Bay Packers related.

"This is going to be his last football season here and um, Joshua fell in love with the Packers when he was 10," Stacey McCall, Josh's mom said.

Josh, who is 30 years old, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy after birth. He's in hospice after numerous surgeries and infections.

He wants to be at peace -- but has one final wish.

"I wish that I would be able to meet players," Josh McCall said.

Josh wants to meet the Green Bay Packers or Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field on December 11th.

"From either team really. He doesn't really care. He likes both of them. They're both his favorite team," Stacey McCall said.

It's a simple wish, really, for a guy who's been confined to a wheelchair his entire life, and has never complained.

"One of the things that has always touched my heart about Josh is that he always has a smile for everybody and a good word. He never gets upset. He's never gotten mad about his situation. He's never gotten down," Stacey McCall said.

It has been Josh's life-long dream to watch his beloved Packers at Lambeau Field. He wants to be there to experience the noise, the crowd -- even the snow! He wants to see all the action and the players up close.

"I can't even imagine his expression when he walks in there. I'm really ecstatic to see that," Stacey McCall said.

Josh has tickets for the game and flights are booked. He is bringing along one of his caretakers and a whole host of medical supplies.

Simply getting there will be a challenge.

"Everything is day by day. It could be six months, it could be a year, it could be next week. At this point you wait, wait, wait. Time is crunched right now, so we're just praying for a miracle that he makes it there and that we get back and everything's OK," Stacey McCall said.

Friends have set up a Go Fund Me account to help Josh's family and caretaker pay for the trip expenses.
