Drivers be ready: Mitchell Interchange to begin first phase of repair work December 5th

MILWAUKEE -- Drivers be ready: the first phase of repair work in the Mitchell Interchange is set to begin Monday, December 5th -- and some congestion is anticipated along with the closures.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) the work will require the left lane of northbound I-94 to be closed, from Layton Avenue to 13th Street.

The closures are scheduled for Monday, December 5th to Wednesday, December 7th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The WisDOT says the remaining work will be completed by the end of the month but is weather dependent.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and stay alert in the work zone. Use 511wi.gov for up to date information and travel times.
