MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee architecture and engineering firm has laid out options for repairing or replacing the Mitchell Park Domes.

The cost estimates for the various options that involve keeping the Domes range from $14 million — which would be a shorter term, incomplete fix to $64 million for a complete replacement of the existing foundation.

These options are an update from a 2008 study looking at replacing the Show Dome — expanded to include all three Domes.

I think it is a wonderful idea to replace them. The crime in Milwaukee is so high now though. I think an area like Oak Creek or Franklin would probably be a better home. Milwaukee has a wonderful, beautiful history but Mayor Barrett and our political leaders have let the city be brought to it’s knees. Barrett has let the downtown area take up so much of his time that the rest of the city is now destroyed. As places such as the domes and other visitor attractions diminish I feel it is better to bring our visitors to a safer area. It is now time to realize as sad as it sounds, that their is no coming back for the city of Milwaukee.

Mitchell Park Domes are a County Parks facility.
The current Exec and Scott Walker are the ones who are responsible for the decline of the Parks.

City has nothing to do with it.
