MILWAUKEE -- Firefighters on Wednesday morning, December 7th were called out to the scene of a fire at All Saints Fellowship Christian Church near 12th and Brown in Milwaukee.

FOX6 News was told while the investigation continues into the fire, foul play is not suspected.

Hours after the fire, those who live nearby reacted to what they saw at the scene.

"I'm overwhelmed. Kind of devastated by what has transpired," said Pastor Odell Johnson.

What transpired, according to the Milwaukee Fire Department, involved an overnight fire in All Saints Fellowship Christian Church.

Just before 1:00 a.m., fire personnel responded and focused their efforts on an area toward the top of the structure, between the ceiling and the roof.

"From what I'm understanding, they think it was faulty wiring in the egress area," said Pastor Johnson.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

While the damage estimate sits between $50,000 and $70,000, and comes just a couple of weeks before Christmas, the pastor said services will continue at the church.

"My faith is still strong. If God could move in such a way to allow for the birth of our savior in the means in which he did, he can certainly get us through this," said Johnson.
