Over 200 salt trucks and plows deployed Sunday morning to tackle snowy conditions

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Department of Public Works is geared up to handle the season’s first snow storm.

The DPW says they will deploy garbage and recycling trucks mounted with plow blades by 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning to plow the side streets. Salt trucks with plow blades mounted will stay on the main streets.

DPW reports additional equipment, including 52 front-end loaders will be out Sunday morning, along with 12 additional private plow trucks.

A total of 283 pieces of equipment were deployed by 7:00 a.m.
