Wisconsin Dept. of Revenue holding online auction for unclaimed property through Dec. 27th

MILWAUKEE -- The Wisconsin Department of Revenue is holding an online auction for unclaimed property through December 27. The online auction will include collectible stamps, fine and costume jewelry, coins and more.

The Department of Revenue administers Wisconsin's Unclaimed Property Program to connect people with their unclaimed property. The Department tries to match unclaimed property with its owner through newspaper advertisements and record matching.

If the items left in safety deposit boxes have not been claimed after three years, state law requires the Department to sell the unclaimed property at public auction.

The online auction ends at 10 a.m. on December 27th. To view the auction online visit www.wisconsinsurplus.com and scroll for Auction #16900-16 (Do not use the site's search function).
