Person takes their own life after SWAT team attempts to serve arrest warrant on Milwaukee's south side



MILWAUKEE -- FOX6 News has learned a person took their own life after the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office's SWAT team attempted to serve an arrest warrant near 35th and Greenfield, the city's south side.

Officials say as the ATF agents went to serve the arrest warrant, the person fled. At some point after that, a shot was fired and it was found that the person shot himself and is deceased.

The person's identity has not been disclosed at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office tells us the Wisconsin DOJ and Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is handling this investigation.
