2 men rescued from Kinnickinnic River near Chase Avenue in Milwaukee



MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee officials tell FOX6 News two men were pulled from the Kinnickinnic River on the city's south side.

The rescue took place shortly after 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17th near S. 1st and Chase Avenue.

Officials say they were able to get to the men using a concrete embankment on the river.



According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, one man was taken to St. Luke's Hospital and the other to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of hypothermia.

It is unclear at this time how the men ended up in the river.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

No other details have been released.
