The Milwaukee Fire Department as well as crews from the North Shore Fire and Wauwatosa assisted at the scene.

Milwaukee Deputy Fire Chief Terry Lintonen said aside from fighting the fire, the weather brought challenges of its own.

"Naturally it slows down the response from the standpoint of it's just very difficult to move these heavy pieces of equipment up and down the streets. You've got to move a little bit slower so that you can stop if you need to. Getting in here, the difficulty here turns into a logistical nightmare because it's one single drive in and out," said Lintonen.

FOX6 News has been told several people have been displaced.

No injuries were reported.
