Start time for Palmyra Eagle Area School District students delayed by 2 hours Monday due to cold

PALMYRA -- The start time for students attending schools within the Palmyra Eagle Area School District will be delayed Monday, December 19th due to the bitter cold.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for all of southeastern Wisconsin to be in effect through 10:00 a.m. Monday.

Due to anticipated wind chills, school for students within the Palmyra Eagle Area School District will be delayed by two hours on Monday, District Administrator Dr. Steven M. Bloom said on Facebook (and on the school district's website) Sunday.

There will be no early childhood or four-year-old kindergarten.

Middle and high school will begin at 9:40 a.m. Monday. Students should arrive no earlier than 9:30 a.m.


The elementary day will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. Students should arrive no earlier than 9:50 a.m.

Students are asked to plan accordingly and dress warmly.
