One man attending a party on a floor above where this shooting said there was chaos after the gunfire.

"I was just a level up.  I heard the shots.  We didn`t think nothing of it until people started running around. People were just running around the hallways. Panicking. Scared. It`s a scary situation because if you were in a room -- it`s a small room -- you don`t know if you are going to walk out in one piece or be hurt," Derrick Triggs said.

I heard the shots. We didn`t think nothing of it until people started running around.
Has it really become that routine? Shots fired blah blah blah?

Shame on the Embassy Suites for allowing these hood rats into Brookfield. Party on a Sunday night? Do these young punks work? Keep your ghetto crap in the inner city.

We stayed there with some friends from up north (along with children) a couple years ago for a annual brewer game getogether. We were (along with the entire hotel) woken up at 2:30 AM by kids (most under 10) running/jumping and yelling up and down. We called the front desk to complain and they said “we are working on it” Half hour later-still going on….-I yelled out our room to “PLEASE BE QUIET PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP” I was told back by a young girl (about 13 yrs old) to “STFU!!” along with her group “yeah F U!!!” (again no adults around and all young children) Called the front desk again (this time our children were scared and crying) and they said -again “we are handling it” and finally the police were called. When we checked out the next day we asked for a refund/discount due to the lack of security peace and quiet in the middle of the night and NO sleep. (Other patrons were behind us with the same complaint) We were told nothing could be done and they handled the matter appropriately and if we have a problem with “other races” that was our problem. OMG!!! We didn’t EVEN mention race! Asked for the Hotel manager and were told she was off duty due to a “long night”. Never again for us, and our friends who have spread the word up north to anyone they know that may stay in the Milw area (they also run a bar/restaurant up there) to stay away.
This place will be closed soon I hope. Brookfield doesn’t need this type of nonsense. But I’m sure if the hotel tries to “calm the natives” and kick them out when these problems arise they will get sued for being racist.
I wasn’t shocked when I read this story.

That’s really sad when you cannot even have a stay-cation without being shot at or having to put up with unruly horrid guests. Your situation was handled poorly by the staff. They should have called police sooner (my bet is the “parents” were drunk, high or already passed out or hitting the bars, using the hotel as a baby sitter. Most places you cannot leave a child under 14 alone in the room. BTY that was really r@cest of them to assume wasn’t it? You and other made a noise and unattended children complaint. If a kid had fallen out of a window or broke a leg running around it would have been why did’t the guests alert the staff to a problem. Just cannot win. PC is killing courtesy and common sense.
