Firefighters battle fire at vacant building on Milwaukee’s west side

Fire at 26th & State, Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee firefighters on Thursday evening, February 9th responded to a fire in a vacant building near 26th and State on the city’s west side.

Officials tell FOX6 News the initial call for this fire came in shortly before 5:00 p.m. Heavy fire was reported — flames showing through the roof. A second alarm was eventually called for the fire.

The fire is now under control — its cause is under investigation.

Officials say there are no injuries as a result of this fire.
