Police: 53-year-old driver located, charged, accused of driving vehicle off tow truck in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police said Tuesday afternoon, June 27th a 53-year-old man has been located and charged with "duty upon striking -- great bodily harm," accused of driving a vehicle off a tow truck in Milwaukee Monday morning.
It happened around 10:40 a.m. near Howell Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.
Police said a tow truck driver was attempting to tow a vehicle when the vehicle’s owner got into the vehicle and drove it off the truck -- causing the tow truck driver to be thrown.
The tow truck driver, a 24-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Police said the driver is expected in court next week.
