Hops into Fall: Celebrate the end of summer with a visit to Old World Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE -- On this Labor Day weekend, there's a great way to toast the changing seasons down at Old World Wisconsin. Carl tells us how you can brew historic beer at Hops into Fall.

About Hops into Fall (website)

Celebrate the end of summer with a visit to Old World Wisconsin.  This is a fantastic time for a visit, the gardens are bursting with flowers and produce, the fields are ripe and the ktichens are full of delicious dishes.  And there will be beer!

As we enjoy the last of summer, help us Hop into Fall, with harvesting hops, making yeast cakes, baking breads and brewing beers - including quick beers and spruce beers.

As part of our Historic brewing program, staff and volunteers have cultivated a hops field - and now we need your help!  Join with other guests to take part in a traditional community harvest, just like families have done for generations.  On Saturday after the harvest, grown-ups can enjoy a cold beer in the German Settlement area and talk with Old World Wisconsin's historic brewing team.  We'll even have root beer and games available for our younger guests.
