"Distracted driver:" 2 MPD detectives injured after squad struck on I-43 near North Avenue

MILWAUKEE -- Two Milwaukee Police Detectives suffered non-life threatening injuries after their vehicle was struck on I-43 near North Avenue Tuesday night, November 28th.

The crash happened around 7:20 p.m.

Police say the detectives’ vehicle was hit from behind by a distracted driver.  The driver remained on the scene.

The detectives were treated for their injuries and released from the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
