46-year-old Milwaukee woman dies from injuries suffered in Jan. 9 rollover crash

MILWAUKEE -- A 46-year-old Milwaukee woman injured in a rollover crash earlier this month has now died. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office reports Miko Strong of Milwaukee died on Monday, Jan. 29.

The wreck happened on southbound I-43 near North Ave on Tuesday, Jan. 9. Witnesses reported seeing a car traveling at a high rate of speed before the North Avenue curve, strike the median wall, and rollover two or three times before landing on its roof.

Officials say Strong was ejected from the vehicle. She suffered brain injuries, fractures to her skull, pelvis and lower neck, and internal injuries. Deputies found Strong unconscious. Milwaukee Fire Department emergency personnel responded and took her to the hospital.
