'Didn't want to leave any fingerprints:' Clark gas station robbed at gunpoint in Sussex; suspect at large

Clark gas in Sussex robbed at gunpoint

SUSSEX -- A gunman walked into a gas station in Sussex, and pointed his weapon at an employee's head. It happened at the Clark gas station on Main Street near Waukesha Avenue, Tuesday, February 13th. Officials released clear surveillance video from the incident, and has us looking at the robbers hands.

"He's got a mask on and everything," said Jeff Zibell, customer.

Tuesday night, around 7:30 p.m., the gunman is seen in the video, walking into the gas station and point his weapon at the owner's head -- demanding cash. As he hands over a plastic bag, his only other move is quick glances and readjustment of his disguise.

Within minutes, the suspect takes off east toward Waukesha Avenue.

"It's not really good for out here -- or for anywhere," said Keith Griebler, customer.

Deputies want you to take a close look at the video. The suspect is described as a white male, 5'9" tall with a medium build. The suspect was also wearing one dark-colored winter glove on his right hand, and a blue latex glove on his left hand.

"Oh yeah, he didn't want to leave any fingerprints and evidence," said Zibell.

"I'm just shocked that this happened," said Madeline Springer, customer. "Especially right across the street."

Madeline Springer says she can't believe someone would be bold enough to hit the business in the busiest part of town. She backs the owner's decision to add more cameras, and a barrier to protect himself and his son.

"It kind of makes me scared a little bit. You know what I mean? But I hope he does just in case anything like this happens again everyone would be OK," said ______
