Trooper revives, arrests 23-year-old man found unconscious in vehicle on I-41 NB

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper saved the life of a 23-year-old Ogdensburg man who was found unconscious in a vehicle on I-41 northbound Friday night, February 16th.

According to officials, just before 7:30 p.m. a Trooper saw a vehicle that stopped partially in traffic on I-41 northbound north of Holy Hill Road near Richfield.

Before making contact with the vehicle, the driver was unresponsive. With the doors of the vehicle being locked, the trooper was forced to break a window to gain access to the driver.

The driver eventually became conscious and alert after being given two doses of Narcan. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

After getting medical attention, authorities say standardized field sobriety tests were given and the driver was then arrested for Operating While Intoxicated -- first offense. The 23-year-old will be held for a probation violation.
