Woman seriously injured, suspected of OWI after crashing into UPS truck in West Allis

WEST ALLIS -- Officials say a woman is seriously hurt after crashing into a UPS truck in West Allis early Saturday morning, February 17th. Officials believe alcohol is a factor in the crash and she will be cited for operating while intoxicated.

According to the West Allis Police Department, the crash happened around 4:00 a.m., at the intersection of South 108th Street and West Hayes Avenue.

Preliminary investigation revealed the woman was driving northbound on 108th Street, and struck a UPS tractor-trailer truck turning eastbound on Hayes.



The truck driver of the UPS truck was uninjured.

Police say the woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She will be cited for OWI.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
