15-year-old Pewaukee HS student arrested, accused of making threatening comments

PEWAUKEE -- Police say a 15-year-old student from Pewaukee High School has been arrested after making threatening comments at a school pep rally on Friday, Feb. 16.

A news release says the Village of Pewaukee Police Department was notified late Sunday night of the comments by a Pewaukee H.S. parent.

According to police interviews with students, the suspect told his friends at the pep rally to "wear different color clothes to school" on Monday or make sure they "stay at home" to avoid trouble. The comments did not include a threat of any weapon.

Investigators interviewed the suspect and turned him over to his guardians. The suspect has been referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney's office on disorderly conduct charges.

Classes remained in session on Monday, Feb. 19 for all Pewaukee School District students.
