Homicide investigation: Driver crashed, car started on fire at 16th and Walnut after shot fired

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened near 16th and Walnut St. Saturday afternoon, March 17.

It happened around 2:30 p.m.

Police say the victim, a Milwaukee man, 43, was driving a vehicle when an unknown suspect fired a shot from a separate vehicle. The victim's car crashed into a tree and started on fire.

The victim, later identified as Fentriess Boyd, died from his injuries.

A passenger in the victim's car, a man, 38, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
