I joined the FOX6 weather team in April of 2011. The re-launch of the Weekend WakeUp created an opportunity for me to step into the position of the morning Meteorologist. It’s funny knowing I’ll be on my fourth cup of coffee when viewers are just getting started on their first.
Born and raised in central Illinois, Milwaukee is my first big move away from home. I’m a small town girl, so living in a city has had a different feel, but I’m having fun exploring and finding what Wisconsin has to offer. My favorite food is cheese, so I knew Milwaukee was a perfect fit for me!
Attending Eastern Illinois University, I majored in Geography and Broadcast Meteorology. While in college, I gained my first two years on-air at the local PBS station, WEIU-TV. From there, I moved an hour north to Champaign, Illinois and worked as a Meteorologist for the ABC affiliate, WICD-TV.
When I’m not on the tube or chasing storms, you can find me volunteering at my church or off on a hiking adventure with my husband, John.
