Henry Rosoff

Reporter

I'm grateful for this amazing opportunity to do what I love and get back to this part of the country. My relatively short life already reads like a cross-country music tour; only with far less music and screaming fans along the way.

Going backwards, I was most recently the primary nightside reporter and a fill-in anchor at the ABC affiliate in Waco, Texas. That market includes the Killeen/Fort Hood community, which made November 5, 2009 a day I will remember forever. We were in the middle of our afternoon planning meeting when a military psychiatrist killed 12 fellow soldiers and a civilian on post. In the days following, we learned most of those soldiers were from a detachment based in Wisconsin. I was the first reporter on the scene at the shooter's apartment and did hours of live reporting for wall-to-wall coverage.

Prior to my time in Waco, I graduated with majors in journalism and political science from Northwestern University. I used Chicago as home base, traveling all over the country during school. I took an on-air reporting internship in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and later at a station in Lansing, Michigan; the place where both Jeremy Ross and Mike Lowe got their starts. I also hit every Big Ten state, following the Wildcats on away football games, most of the time as a reporter for the campus TV station. While in school, I also produced and solo-anchored a Midwest Regional Emmy Award-winning live 2008 election special for a PBS station in Chicago. Other work during college helped me pick up a College Emmy and a few Hearst Awards.

I'm originally from New Jersey and one of the only ways you would be able to tell is by asking me how I take my "caw-fee" in the morning. And sorry Bucks, Brewers and Packers fans... But being from the New York side of Jersey means I'm a Yankees, Knicks and Dolphins (long story) fan all the way.

Now I'm happy to call Milwaukee home. You will definitely see me running lakeside when the weather is nice. I also love playing and watching pretty much any sports. I am a big movie dork, meaning I'll see pretty much anything in theaters.

I especially like stories where I can help get you results, or ones where I can find a creative way of demonstrating a problem and bringing it to the attention of the right people.
