    Police: 35-year-old man shot, injured while walking near 19th & Clarke in Milwaukee

    MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Wednesday night, August 24th. It happened around 10:30 p.m. near 19th and Clarke. Police say the 35-year-old man reported that he was just walking down the street when he heard shots and realized he had been shot. He was transferred  to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury. Police say their investigation into a possible motive and suspect(s) is ongoing.

Authorities say a man entered the gas station around 5:30 a.m. and robbed the clerk at knifepoint. The suspect took off with cigarettes and an undetermined amount of cash.     MILWAUKEE — Two Milwaukee men have been indicted for the August 14, 2016 armed robbery of a Walgreens store located in Milwaukee. 25-year-old Anthony Chappell and 28-year-old Christopher Morgan  were charged with one count of interference with commerce by robbery pursuant to the Hobbs Act and one count of brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
