    Marquette University alerts students after robbery near campus

    MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Marquette University’s Department of Public Safety is warning students to be alert — after a robbery in downtown Milwaukee near campus. It happened on the corner of 16th and Wells at approximately 3:11 a.m. According to officials, two male suspects approached two Marquette students, displayed a weapon and demanded property.     MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police have arrested the driver involved in the fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred early Wednesday, April 8th at N. 29th Street and W. Locust Street.     Flooding temporarily closed I-43 southbound in Port Washington

    OZAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) —  Officials temporarily closed a 100-yard stretch of I-43 southbound at Exit 100 (CTH H) in Port Washington Thursday, April 9th due to flooding under the overpass at CTH H. According to the National Weather Service, the flooding was the result of a drain being clogged by debris. The southbound lanes were closed for approximately three hours.

    (WITI) — Community First will host it’s 2nd Annual Burgers and Birdhouses event on Thursday, April 9 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at The Milwaukee Public Market. Cost per person is $25. Proceeds will be used to continue the organization’s  work of providing significant home repairs to Milwaukee’s low and moderate-income families in order to preserve homeownership and prevent foreclosure.
