WITI offers internships for students interested in broadcasting careers.

Students will have the opportunity to perform duties in the fast-paced environment of a news gathering operation.  WITI offers the unique experience of working for a television that produces the most local news/programming in Milwaukee.

Internships are offered in the following departments: News, Creative Services, Sports, Investigative News, Web Production and Meteorology.

WITI’s internship program will pay an hourly wage and students can also receive college credit from their respective university.

To be eligible:

  1. You must be 18 or older and a registered student in good standing at an accredited college or university
  2. Preferred completion of junior level of education
  3. Must be able to work the hours required by the department (Depending on assignment, hours may include early mornings, evenings and/or weekends)

To apply, provide a cover letter, resume and proof of school registration with your on-line application.  If interested in receiving college credit for participating in this program, include a letter of credit written by your advisor that confirms you will receive college credit for the internship.  Applications will not be processed without these items.

Internships are offered during the summer semester and correspond with the standard academic calendar year.  Application deadline is May 1st for the summer.
